Quiet Light

Riya Mahesh, better known by her stage name Quiet Light, is an American indie folk musician and producer from Austin, Texas. Born in Dallas, she began releasing self-produced music in 2020 while simultaneously attending medical school, a dual career that has been widely noted in press coverage of her work. Mahesh is currently signed to the label True Panther.

Following her self-titled debut EP in 2020, Mahesh issued a prolific run of independently released projects—including Fourth of July, Blue Angel Sparkling Silver and I Love You Because You're In Love With The World (all 2023), Going Nowhere (2024) and Pure Hearts (2025)—that combined folk songwriting with ambient, electronic and pop production. Her 2026 mixtape Blue Angel Sparkling Silver 2, her first release for True Panther, brought her wider critical attention.
