The Entertainment Century 2

Last year we ran a club night called ‘The Entertainment Century’ that was mainly named that because we’re really into Adam Curtis and it sounded like something he might say. But the general idea of it was that we have to stop going to “indie parties” and listening to the same songs they would have listened to in the previous century (the entertainment century). The Entertainment Century 2 is about saying goodbye to the old world and hello to the new one, and devising our own canon of popular music. To wit: we have gathered some ‘local musicians’ and enlisted them to play some ‘contemporary music’. THEN, Fresh Air Radio will be ‘filling in the gaps’ with DJ sets covering other modern hits, YOU get a turn with Karaoke, and finally we bin the whole thing off with an Soul Soc party with the best Selectors in the game Umbrella Vinyl and Toni McVey
